FAQ: Starting The Program

Making sure you have your swans in a row! 

When:

All students must arrive at Teatro Politeama on Monday, July 22nd at 7:45 amThe theater doors will open promptly at 8:00 amRegistration and Orientation will start at 8:15 am.

To participate, all students must bring the originals of their signed Registration and Media Release Forms.

It is a legal matter and we are asking you to please do not forget your Forms. You won’t be able to take class otherwise. Thank you for understanding.

Where: 

The entrance to the Program Venue (Practice Studios of Politeama Theater) is located in the back of the Politeama Theater and on the left hand side of the building, when facing the theater façade. The official address of that entrance is Via Turati, 2.

Dress Code

Everything indicated on our Dress Code is there for a reason and is required to prepare you for daily classes and photo shoots. We take the Dress Code seriously and ask you to please make sure you have everything that is required or you might not be allowed to attend some of the classes.

Bulletin Board Info

The weekly schedule, class information, student levels, and photoshoot schedules will be posted on the bulletin board outside the upstairs studio at the theater.

Photo Shoots

All throughout the Program we will be organizing a series of photo shoots, both in the studios and around the city, with PBSI staff photographer Ms. Eleonora Orlando. Students will be observed on Monday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 23 and photoshoots will be scheduled by Ms. Innocente and Ms. Orlando. Students will be notified accordingly, in person and via announcements on the bulletin board.

Please refer to our News Section to learn about this wonderful initiative. The Award System will be explained in more detail during the Orientation and one more article will be published on the website at that time. 

Daily Classes

With the exception of July 22, daily classes will start at 8:30 am, Monday through Friday.

When will the classes end every day?

Pre-Professional and Intermediate students

will finish classes daily at 3pm.

Beginner Level students

will finish classes daily at 2:30pm.

When will classes start on the first day of the Program?

Classes will begin immediately following orientation.

Level Placement

All students have been preliminarily placed in 3 levels. You will find your Preliminary Day 1 Level Placement on the bulletin board inside the studios of Politeama Theater where Orientation will be held.

 

Levels are at complete discretion of the Faculty and are subject to change.

What to Bring

In addition to the signed originals of your Regustration Forms, please bring everything you would needed for a full day of lessons. 

We recommend bringing extra bottles of water.

Lunch 

All students will have an hour lunch break daily. Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch or purchase lunch at the many cafes surrounding the theater. 

Airport Pick Up

If you haven’t already arranged your airport pick-up, please contact PBSI to do that.

The fee will vary depending on arrival times.

Hostel Check-in Info

For students ages 13 and older:

check-in starts on Saturday, July 20th, from 1:00 pm.

For students ages 12 and younger:

Check-in starts on Sunday, July 21st, from 10 am - 12 pm.

Passports

All students are required to show their passport upon arrival at A Casa di Amici.
